Any suggestions for extremely dry skin?
I have always had extremely dry skin. It is so bad on my hands that I have spent winters with them bleeding from the dryness. I also have Renauds (if that makes a difference). I have tried most of the creams on the market. Glaxal Base, Aveeno, Cetaphil, Grape seed and Olive oil creme (Avalon Organics), Avon brands, Gold Bond (the new white packaged one), Vaseline brand and some Hemp creme from the Body Shop. A massage therapist told me I lacked essential oils and suggested me rub sweet almond oil into them and massage them. I tried that, works a bit. The naturopathic doc told me to try taking Omega 3 supplements. I tried the supplements but they cause stomache upset. I also have tried the paraffin wax bath.
Does anybody have any suggestions that I may not have tried yet?
I have tried every single suggestion anybody has ever suggested.
I live in the land of ice and snow, I keep my hands covered when outside.

Don’t use bar soap for bathing. Use moisturizing bath liquid with less or no fragrance at all, yet rich in essential and natural oil. (Fragrance or any harsh chemicals can harm and irritate your skin more.) You may try baby bath liquid soap (look for organic one in Wholefoods-aubrey.) After bathing, while your skin is still damp, lather oil all over your skin (Neutrogena body oil) . This may help seal in moisture.
Do this during the night coz it would be messy. Use petroleum jelly on your hands and feet. Use it generously. Wrap your feet with socks, and your hands with knitted gloves. Try this for at least one week (or whenever you’re convenient with,) and you’ll soon see some difference.
Try using vitamin E capsules as moisturizer as well. Squeeze the content of the Vit E and lather it on your hand. Use lotion or moisturizer from time to time.
Drink plenty of water. Hydrate from the inside. Skip sodas and coffee for awhile.
Again, hope these work.
